SCA Health in Oak Brook, IL is seeking a Medical Office Scheduler to support ambulatory surgery centers. You will manage surgeries, patient registrations, and ensure smooth check-ins and timely procedures, collaborating with physicians and staff.

The role requires strong organization, a courteous phone presence, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced health-care environment. Full-time hours are 8:30am–5:00pm with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum three years of experience in health care and minimum of one-year experience in surgery scheduling procedures preferred.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Knowledge of surgery scheduling, receptionist and registration responsibilities; ability to handle stress.
• Flexible with hours and able to cover shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Schedules surgeries in the scheduling system with pertinent information and handles physician calls about scheduling.
• Answers phones politely and assists physician offices and patients promptly.
• Performs pre-registration and ensures authorization from physician's office prior to surgery.
• Maintains log for cancelled appointments and keeps surgery area orderly.
