Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Southeast Michigan is seeking an Office Coordinator to oversee designated office areas in collaboration with the Practice Manager, ensuring friendly, efficient patient service and smooth office operations.

You will supervise daily operations, assist with recruitment and training, manage scheduling and timekeeping, coordinate care between patients and providers, and support quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a Medical Office, with Reception or Cross-Trained Medical Assisting duties.
• Credentialed Medical Assistant required if training MA staff (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NRCMA, CMAC).
• Prefer associate or bachelor’s degree in Management, Healthcare Administration, etc.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of assigned areas.
• Manage complex patient reception/medical records problems or insurance issues.
• Propose process improvements to enhance customer experience.
• Assist with recruitment, hiring, orientation, training and coaching of staff.
• Maintain scheduling, time and attendance for staff.
