Farnsworth Group is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer - Healthcare to lead project-level mechanical design for hospitals and related facilities across the Midwest. You will coordinate with architects, structural, and other engineers to deliver fully coordinated construction documents and perform field surveys.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• EIT required; PE or ability to obtain preferred.
• 8–12+ years of building mechanical design experience, healthcare/institutional focus.
• HVAC design knowledge and knowledge of healthcare mechanical requirements.
• Proficiency in design tools and BIM coordination.

Responsabilités

• Act as project mechanical engineer on healthcare and institutional projects.
• Design HVAC and mechanical systems with load calculations and layouts.
• Coordinate BIM-based designs with multiple disciplines to produce coordinated documents.
• Conduct field surveys and site investigations for renovations or expansions.
• Support energy studies and life-cycle cost evaluations with senior staff.
• Assist with construction administration including submittals and RFIs.
