Job summary

Frisco Eye Institute in Frisco, TX is seeking an experienced Materials Manager to support the launch of a new Ambulatory Surgery Center. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience managing materials in a hospital, surgery center, or high-volume physician practice, with a proven track record of optimizing inventory and vendor performance.

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience as Materials Manager in a hospital, surgery center, or high-volume physician practice.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of healthcare products, stock rotation, and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily inventories and receiving/distribution processes.
• Coordinate operations including distribution, inventory, equipment, and record keeping.
• Ensure items have proper information for prompt delivery and verify against POs/packing slips.
• Oversee supplier relationships, set par levels, and monitor supplier performance.
• Set up and maintain purchase orders, ensure timely delivery, and manage returns.
• Assist clinical staff in preparing supplies for next-day cases.
• Travel as required.
