Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. in Frisco, TX is seeking an experienced Materials Manager to support the launch of a new Ambulatory Surgery Center. The ideal candidate has at least three years of Materials Manager experience in healthcare settings.

You will manage vendor relationships, monitor inventory, and ensure supplies, instruments and equipment are available when needed, including next-day cases. Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience as Materials Manager in a hospital, surgery center, or high-volume physician practice.
• Bachelor’s in operations management or related field preferred.
• Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage vendor relationships and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily inventories and receiving/distribution of supplies and equipment.
• Coordinate operations including distribution, inventory, equipment, and records.
• Ensure orders have proper information and authorization.
• Verify orders against packing slips and POs in COUPA or the electronic system.
• Assist staff with next-day case preparation and par levels.
• Negotiate vendor agreements for best price and terms.
