Job summary

UCFS Healthcare in Eastern Connecticut seeks a Manager of Learning and Development to design, implement, and oversee all employee training programs. You will partner with leadership across departments and with external partners to assess needs, develop strategies, and measure effectiveness.

Manage training placements and overhaul performance evaluations for all staff. The role oversees 40 hours/week, with office-based schedule at UCFS locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Public Health, Education, HR, or related field.
• Five years designing and delivering training across diverse audiences and departments.
• Three years of experience managing direct reports and driving performance improvements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement workforce development initiatives across the agency.
• Build stakeholder committees and provide feedback on new opportunities.
• Identify training needs via surveys, interviews, and research.
• Create microlearning experiences across the organization.
• Establish SMEs to support internal training resources.
• Oversee promotion, scheduling, and coordination of all training programs.
• Train employees on performance management processes and UCFS standards.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and adjust for continuous improvement.
