Job summary

Essen Health Care in Bronx, NY seeks a Director of Training and Development to design, implement, and evaluate an enterprise-wide learning strategy, aiming to elevate staff engagement, onboarding, and professional growth.

In this role, you will partner with operations, People & Culture, and clinical leadership to ensure training aligns with regulatory standards and workforce needs, and you will manage the Learning Management System and learning metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Organizational Development, HR, or Education preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in learning and development, talent management, or organizational effectiveness.
• Strong background in instructional design, adult learning theory, and learning measurement frameworks.
• Experience working in healthcare or a regulated industry preferred.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with LMS platforms and data analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Execute the training and development strategy across clinical, administrative, and leadership functions.
• Partner with department heads to identify skill gaps and create targeted learning pathways.
• Manage the Learning Management System and ensure content quality, tracking, and reporting.
