Hospice of Northwest Ohio is seeking a dedicated kitchen cook to prepare meals for patients and staff in Toledo and Perrysburg. You will follow recipes, ensure food quality, and support dietary compliance while delivering friendly service in a healthcare setting.

The role requires at least 1 year cooking experience or training, ServSafe Level 1 certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days), strong communication skills, and the ability to work varied shifts with flexibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year cooking experience or formal training in food service.
• ServSafe Level 1 certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to read, write and follow recipes.
• Capable of working in Toledo and Perrysburg kitchens.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and ensure quality appearance.
• Follow diet orders and dietary policies for patients.
• Assemble patient trays and deliver to wings within timeframes.
• Monitor stations and restock food items daily.
• Provide friendly service to staff and visitors.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and follow cleaning schedule.
• Follow food safety regulations and proper storage practices.
• Take inventory and order necessary food and supplies.
• Adhere to HIPAA and infection control policies.
