Job summary

Ohio Living is seeking an experienced cook to join our dining operations. You will prepare meals per planned menus, ensure quality, sanitation and accurate portioning, and support inventory and meal service across shifts.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of cooking experience, knowledge of dietary needs, and familiarity with POS systems. The role requires weekend/evening availability and a focus on consistent quality in a healthcare kitchen.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years of quantity and/or restaurant-style cooking experience required.
• Knowledge of cooking methods, sanitation, quality, production, and presentation required.
• Experience with food cost and operational control preferred.
• Proficiency with POS and diet management software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Maintains quality, sanitary standards and portion control.
• Stocks and maintains inventory at line stations.
• Documents production orders and usage logs.
• Supports catering needs and special events.
• Maintains department areas and equipment in a clean, safe manner.
