Job summary

Hospice of the Western Reserve is seeking a friendly and reliable team member for our healthcare food service team. You will prepare and serve meals, set up trays, operate the POS system, and help maintain a clean dining environment in our patient care areas.

Successful candidates will have at least one year of healthcare food service experience or equivalent; you must be able to read, write, and follow written instructions, and be committed to compassionate patient care in a hospital-like

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and carry out instructions.
• Minimum of one year healthcare food service experience preferred.
• Equivalent education/experience may substitute for minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Wash patient dishes.
• Pull cold items for patient meals and setup on trayline.
• Set up hot food on patient trayline.
• Serve hot and cold foods per meal ticket selections and standards.
• Transport patient trays to wings/pavilions for delivery by clinical staff.
• Breakdown patient trayline after meal service and assist with leftovers.
