Job summary

Ohio Living is seeking a Cook to prepare meals in accordance with nutritional guidelines and residents’ dietary needs. You will help with menu planning, food presentation, and timely service while maintaining sanitation and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, a current ServSafe certificate, and at least 1 year of related experience in food preparation and therapeutic diets. Ability to read, write, and speak English is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Maintains ServSafe certificate (food services sanitation) or eligible to obtain.
• At least 1 year related experience including food preparation and therapeutic diets.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menus and cook food according to nutritional guidelines and residents' diets.
• Present food attractively and ensure on-time delivery.
• Maintain clean, sanitized kitchen; assist with storage and receiving of products.
• Foster residents' independence during meals and provide adaptive equipment if needed.
• Communicate with supervisor and team about resident conditions and kitchen operations.
