Job summary

Asbury Communities, Inc. is seeking a dedicated cook to support resident meals in a compassionate, community-focused setting. You will batch-cook dishes, ensure dietary requirements are met, and uphold safety and quality standards.

The role is full-time with a 5:00am–1:30pm shift and a $17.50/hour pay rate, with every-other weekend and holiday rotations. Asbury offers generous benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED is required.
• 1+ year cooking experience, preferably in a health care setting.

Responsibilities

• Assists in menu preparation for hot and cold food preparation; batch cooks items ensuring optimal food quality.
• Ensure all specialty diet requirements are met in line with our nutritional, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Follows production sheet counts as written and communicates any needed modifications.
• Informs Chef of recipe or sheet changes and potential shortages.
• Instructs attendants regarding menu offerings and changes.
• Practices standards of food sanitation, infection control, and quality assurance.
