Job summary

Asbury Communities in Lewisburg, PA is seeking a cook to prepare meals for residents in a healthcare setting. You will batch cook and assist in menu execution while following production sheets and quality standards.

Schedule & Compensation

• Full-Time Position (32hours/week)
• Hours: M-F 10:30am-7:00pm; requiredevery other weekend & every other holiday required
• Pay Rate: $16.25-17.50/hour

Job Description

• Assists in simple recipes for hot and cold food preparation. Batch cooks items ensuring optimal food quality; i.e., scrambled eggs, french-fries, vegetables, fish, etc.
• Follows “counts” designated on production sheets as written.
• Informs Chef when a recipe or food production sheet needs to be modified and informs Chef of potential shortages.
• Instructs attendants in regard to menu offerings and/or menu changes.
• Practices standards of food sanitation, infection control, and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalency.
• 1+ year(s) cooking experience, preferably in the health care setting.
