Job summary

Asbury Communities is seeking a kitchen team member to prepare and cook a variety of hot and cold dishes. You will help with batch cooking, maintain strict food safety standards, and support menu planning with the team.

The schedule is 3:00pm to 7:30pm, with every other weekend and occasional holidays; pay is $17 per hour. Prior cooking experience and the ability to read recipes are required; high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ year cooking experience
• Ability to read, understand and follow recipes
• Basic math for ingredients and quantities
• Culinary school training or ServSafe certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of hot and cold dishes according to recipes
• Assist in batch cooking to ensure quality and consistency
• Maintain food safety and sanitation per health regulations
• Collaborate with kitchen staff for timely food preparation and service
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies
• Assist in menu planning and suggest new recipes
