Job summary

Schedule & Compensation

• Full-Time Position
• Hours:5:00am-1:30pm (schedule may vary depending on business needs)
  • Every other weekend & every other holiday rotation required
  • Rate: $17.50/hour.

Job Description

• Assists in menu preparationfor hot and cold food preparation. Batch cooks items ensuring optimal food quality; i.e., scrambled eggs, french-fries, vegetables, fish, etc.
• Ensure all specialty diet requirements are consistently met in alignment with Asbury’s established standards for nutritional adequacy, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Follows “counts” designated on production sheets as written.
• Informs Chef when a recipe or food production sheet needs to be modified and informs Chef of potential shortages.
• Instructs attendants in regard to menu offerings and/or menu changes.
• Practices standards of food sanitation, infection control, and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• 1+ year(s) cooking experience, preferably in the health care setting.
