Job summary

Legacy Community Health is hiring an IT Desktop Support Specialist I in Houston, TX. The role focuses on providing reliable end-user IT support, troubleshooting hardware/software, and enabling patient care through technology.

You will work with the IT team to assist staff, document requests, and contribute to process improvements while growing your technical expertise in a mission-driven healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of related IT support experience.
• Two years of experience preferred.
• Hands-on Windows PC hardware/software experience and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Experience with remote administration tools and ticketing systems.

Responsibilities

• Document all IT support requests in the ticketing system.
• Respond to internal IT and customer requests; escalate when needed.
• Monitor and follow up on ticket status with IT staff and end users.
• Act as the MS Office specialist; assist and instruct staff in Office products.
• Produce ad hoc reports and manage copier/printer/fax requests.
• Identify manual processes to automate for efficiency.
• Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot hardware/software.
• Create and move Active Directory user accounts.
• Develop procedures and technical documentation; collaborate across teams.
