Aufgaben

• Obtain patient demographics and insurance information; collect co-pays as appropriate.
• Verify and record insurance benefits with ability to provide breakdowns.
• Obtain prior authorizations if required by payer(s).
• Interact professionally with physicians, patients, family, and staff.
• Schedule setups by physicians or staff per policy/procedure.
• Log referrals and demographic info into patient database & billing system.
• Review referrals to determine medical necessity.
• Communicate referral status to sales/referral sources.
• Document referral status in computer system.
• Report concerns to Intake Manager or Supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.
