Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Master Improvement Advisor to lead quality, patient safety, and operational improvement across the organization. The role requires mentoring Senior Improvement Advisors and applying PI, change management, and economic principles to enhance patient experience and clinical practice.

Responsibilities include facilitating PI projects, data surveillance, and staff training. Strong data analysis, leadership, and coaching skills are essential to drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Master of Arts or Science degree required.
• Five+ years in planning, implementation, and evaluation of a performance improvement plan, preferably in healthcare.
• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt required; MSSBB preferred.
• Licensure (e.g., RN) proof if applicant holds a medical license.
• Knowledge of CMS Core Measures, Value Based Purchasing, AHRQ PSI’s, Leapfrog, USNWR rankings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads quality, patient safety, and operational improvement across the organization.
• Mentors Senior Improvement Advisors and supports entity process improvement.
• Facilitates PI projects and kaizen events; manages PI data and trends.
• Trains and mentors staff in PI methods; promotes patient satisfaction and safety.
• Collaborates with leadership and staff to prioritize problem solving and readiness.
