Job summary

National Jewish Health in Denver seeks an HVAC Technician to maintain critical HVAC and related systems across campus. You will work alongside Journeyman Mechanics to install, repair and upgrade equipment, and support patient care environments with reliable climate control.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, documentation, and teamwork within a skilled trades group. Requires a Colorado license and HVAC exposure; includes on-call duties and growth within the team.

Qualifications

• High school graduate; HVAC training preferred.
• 2 years of diverse mechanical/electrical/building maintenance experience; 2 years of HVAC education required.
• Colorado driver’s license; Refrigerant Recovery Certificate (Type I/II) preferred or within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Assists with troubleshooting, equipment installations and system upgrades.
• Maintains pumps, valves, motors, compressors and controls.
• Completes work orders and PM documentation.
• Participates in the on-call rotation and campus operations.
