Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital is seeking a Facilities Technician to install, maintain, and repair HVAC, medical gas and fire protection systems across hospital facilities. The role requires 2-5 years of maintenance experience, EPA Universal certification, and a relevant Associate or trade credential.

Work involves preventive maintenance and operating the building automation system. Typical shifts include early mornings and midweek availability; benefits and career advancement opportunities are provided

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of facilities maintenance experience in a hospital or similar setting.
• Certification in Universal EPA is required.
• Associate degree or trade school credential is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keeps equipment clean and operational and follows infection control guidelines.
• Repairs and maintains HVAC, medical gas, fluid equipment distribution and fire protection systems.
• Performs routine preventive and predictive maintenance including calibration and balancing.
• Makes sure work meets applicable code requirements and operates building automation systems.
