Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation is seeking an HR professional to provide leadership and services across employee relations, benefits, employment, compensation, payroll, and related HR functions.

The role involves counseling leaders and employees, interpreting policies, and ensuring compliance with federal/state laws and Joint Commission requirements. Experience in healthcare HR and payroll processes is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with HR policy interpretation and employment processes.
• Knowledge of federal and state laws related to HR and compliance.
• SHRM certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and services in employee relations, benefits, employment, compensation, payroll, and related HR areas.
• Reviews planned disciplinary actions and recommends actions based on policy.
• Assists Employee Health Nurse with data management and special projects.
• Interacts with applicants, state/federal agency officials, and labor counsel; manages inquiries to closure.
• Monitors compliance with Joint Commission, EEOC, and other regulations; designs reports.
• Provides necessary HR support to management and employees to ensure fair application of rules.
• Maintains Joint Commission compliance and survey readiness.
• Assists with ongoing work and office management resources.
• Clarifies inquiries and coordinates with external customers to meet requirements.
• Completes assigned goals.
