Job summary

Blue Point Nursing and Rehab Center seeks an organized and experienced Human Resources Director to oversee HR operations at our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Maryland. You will lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and employee relations while ensuring compliance with federal and Maryland employment laws.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidential records and manage multiple priorities in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Previous HR experience required; healthcare or long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of employment regulations, personnel documentation, and HR best practices.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR recordkeeping systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee recruitment, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and employee retention.
• Maintain accurate and confidential personnel files and employment records.
• Monitor employee licenses, certifications, background checks, and expiration dates.
• Ensure required employee in-service training and annual performance evaluations are completed and documented.
• Manage employee relations, disciplinary actions, attendance concerns, and workplace conflicts.
• Coordinate benefits administration, payroll-related changes, and employee leave documentation.
• Conduct regular audits of personnel files and HR records to ensure regulatory compliance and survey readiness.
• Collaborate with the Administrator and department heads to address staffing needs and personnel matters.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and Maryland employment laws and regulations.
