Job summary

Southern California Orthopedic Institute (SCOI) is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator for a 3–6 month term to support HR functions and ensure policy compliance. The role involves clerical tasks, onboarding, records management, and serving as a liaison between staff and management for a positive workplace culture.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of HR support experience, knowledge of US labor laws, proficiency with HRIS and Office tools, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 1 year of HR support/coordination experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Knowledge of US HR principles, labor laws, and employment regulations.
• Proficiency with HRIS and basic software tools; familiarity with ADP Workforce Now preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Scan documents into electronic system and convert paper files to digital format.
• Assist with leave of absences documentation and maintain electronic records.
• Support recruitment: screen applicants, schedule interviews, communicate with candidates.
• Assist onboarding, orientation, and training for new hires.
• Maintain employee records in compliance with laws and organizational policies.
• Support HR compliance by assisting with audits and reporting.
