Job summary

Ochsner is seeking a Maintenance Technician to manage department maintenance needs, assist with repairs and replacements of equipment, and maintain the grounds of the facility. You will operate hand and power tools and refer complex requests to a mechanic or maintenance lead.

Strong data entry, communication, and Windows skills are expected in a fast-paced hospital setting. Education requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Required - High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience using hand and power tools, troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Valid driver's license from state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Performs general repairs and mechanic duties.
• Performs preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Performs daily cleaning of assigned areas.
• Adapts behavior to the patient population and communicates effectively.
• Other related duties as required.
