Job summary

Loyola Medicine, a member of Trinity Health, is seeking a Front Desk Clerical Service Rep to support Loyola Medicine Transport. You’ll greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, collect payments, and pre-register in Epic at Burr Ridge and Oakbrook Terrace locations.

Hours are day shift with some evenings; compensation includes benefits from day one. This is a full-time role in a regional healthcare system with a strong team culture, Tuition Reimbursement, and On Site Fitness.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• Basic Keyboarding Skills.
• Epic Scheduling.
• Microsoft Outlook.
• Microsoft Word.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and family members in a consistent and friendly manner, obtain and verify demographic, clinical, financial, and insurance information during the (pre)-registration process, accept point of service payments or provide guidance for payment options, and clear the patient for service delivery. Core responsibilities include: verifies and updates patient identification, demographic information, and insurance coverage; accepts point of service payments; balances cash drawer at the end of every shift; enters patient information accurately into appropriate hospital information system(s); refers patients with questions regarding financial liability to appropriate resource(s); accepts medical authorization or referral forms, if appropriate scans clinical information, Missed Appointment Policy, and other documents into Epic as appropriate; initiates Enrollment process for myLoyola; identifies systemic issues and escalates to Lead Service Representative for resolution.
