Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, patient registration, scheduling, healthcare administration, or a medical office setting.
• Knowledge of insurance verification, prior authorizations, patient registration, or healthcare billing processes.
• Experience using EMR systems and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Strong attention to detail and handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism, compassion, and exceptional customer service.
• Schedule appointments, answer calls, and manage patient communications via phone, email, and fax.
• Register patients and maintain accurate demographic, insurance, and medical information.
• Verify insurance eligibility, obtain prior authorizations, and collect copays and other patient payments.
• Coordinate with providers, clinical staff, financial counselors, and billing teams to ensure a smooth patient experience.
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage office tasks, scheduling procedures, and documentation.
• Resolve patient questions or concerns and escalate issues to ensure timely service.
