Job summary

CityMD is seeking a Patient Service Representative to warmly welcome patients, register them, and coordinate the intake and appointment flow with accuracy and urgency. The role involves greeting patients, organizing in-take and scheduling, and ensuring smooth front-desk operations.

You will respond to patient questions, complete paperwork, verify insurance eligibility, process co-pays, and maintain patient records with care.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume/high-intensity service environments is preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Ability to interact effectively with physicians, patients and staff.
• Bilingual language skills are required or preferred based on site location.
• Flexible/adaptable in a continuously evolving healthcare setting.
• Strong computer proficiency and typing speed (approx. 55 wpm).
• Passion for helping others in a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients.
• Organize and coordinate patient intake and appointments.
• Accurately enter/update patient information in the system.
• Assist patients with completing paperwork when necessary.
• Scan, update and file medical records.
• Answer phone calls and inquiries promptly and politely.
• Process medical insurance information and verify eligibility.
• Handle cash and co-pays accurately and responsibly.
• Provide outstanding customer service to every patient.
• Inform site manager of wait times and patient inquiries.
