Job summary

PedIM Healthcare is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, and internal controls for our outpatient care organization. You will partner with executives to drive financial stability and strategic growth.

The ideal candidate has a strong GAAP background, expertise in healthcare or physician-practice accounting, and proficiency with QuickBooks Online Advanced and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience preparing financial statements, managing budgets, and performing financial analysis.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret complex financial information and communicate findings to leadership.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including P&L, balance sheets, cash flow, and budget-to-actual comparisons.
• Manage and maintain accounting systems, including QuickBooks Online Advanced.
• Monitor revenue, expenses, profitability, and cash flow.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and reports for executive decision-making.
• Establish and maintain effective internal controls for accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with billing and revenue-cycle teams to reconcile collections and receivables.
• Analyze financial performance across departments, providers, and service lines.
• Monitor transactions for discrepancies and opportunities for improvement.
• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax professionals.
• Support payroll accounting and labor-cost analysis.
• Oversee monthly and year-end closing processes.
• Provide financial guidance to CEO/CFO and leadership.
• Supervise accounting personnel and improve departmental efficiency.
