Job summary

Texas Rehabilitation of Plano, part of Lifepoint Health, is opening a brand-new inpatient rehabilitation facility in 2026. We seek a Business Office Manager who will manage census reporting, billing workflows and patient financial counseling to support uncompromised care.

You will collaborate with Utilization and payer teams to ensure timely pre-certifications, accurate deposits, and robust financial records. A strong background in AR and supervisory experience is preferred for this pivotal role.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher in business administration, accounting preferred, or related work experience.
• Experience in accounts receivable at psychiatric healthcare facility.
• Valid driver’s license preferred; CPI training within 30 days of hire and prior to patient contact.

Responsibilities

• Record and report census and admission information.
• Serve as contact regarding benefit determination within departmental timelines.
• Perform upfront collections, financial counseling and data processing.
• Ensure accurate posting of financial activity and AR balances.
• Coordinate with Utilization to complete pre-certifications, certifications and appeals.
• Correspond with commercial and managed care payers.
• Perform insurance benefit verification and financial counseling.
• Review deposits for accuracy and balance cash daily.
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions for the facility.
• Assist the Financial Counselor to ensure payments are received by clients.
• Display fiscal responsibility.
