Job summary

Mercy seeks a skilled Facility Systems Technician to operate, maintain and repair boiler, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical distribution and plumbing systems across Mercy facilities. The role supports hospitals, clinics and outpatient services with minimal supervision, delivering high-quality building operations and patient-safe environments.

Qualifications

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals.
• Numerical ability for testing, installation, measurements and repairs.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage time.
• Form perception and spatial understanding when reading blueprints or specs.
• General computer software proficiency including Outlook, TMS and Nuvolo.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and repair boiler, HVAC, refrigeration and associated systems.
• Support hospital facilities including electrical/plumbing, movable equipment, and building interiors.
• Ensure safe working environment and contribute to Mercy's Environment of Care.
