Job summary

Aston Group in Florida is seeking a proactive Maintenance Assistant to keep our facilities safe, clean, and running smoothly. This full-time daytime role involves hands-on repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and more, with an emphasis on preventing outages and uptime.

You will work with external contractors, maintain organized workspaces, and ensure supplies are stocked. The ideal candidate has a GED, at least 1 year in maintenance, comfort with tools, ability to lift 50 lbs,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Maintenance experience preferred.
• Able to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• General knowledge of building systems and grounds.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic computer skills; proficiency with email, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry.
• Troubleshoot and fix issues before they become problems.
• Respond to emergencies with urgency and accuracy.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for large jobs.
• Keep work areas clean and stocked with supplies.
