Life Care Centers of America is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to perform quality maintenance functions across the facility in compliance with Life Care standards.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, repairs, safety, and teamwork to support patient care, facility operations, and a clean, safe environment for residents and staff.

Candidates should be reliable, able to read work orders, and maintain confidentiality while following company policies and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of one year maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems preferred.
• Knowledge of local building codes and ordinances preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist with preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacements
• Inspect equipment/systems regularly for proper functioning and safety
• Run errands, handle incoming and outgoing freight, and lift and move heavy furniture and equipment
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
• Assist in the evacuation of patients
• Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment
• Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team
• Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
• Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
