Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to provide quality maintenance functions at the facility, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, repairs, safety inspections, and assisting in patient care areas as needed. A high school diploma is preferred, with willingness to learn and contribute to a safe, well-maintained environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of one year maintenance experience preferred.
• Proven knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems preferred.
• Knowledge of local building codes and ordinance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacements.
• Inspect equipment/systems regularly for proper functioning and safety.
• Run errands, handle incoming and outgoing freight, and lift and move heavy furniture and equipment.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
• Assist in the evacuation of patients.
• Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance.
• Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment.
• Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team.
• Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours.
• Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
