Qualifications

• Must have thorough knowledge of general maintenance, including boilers, HVAC, electrical systems.
• Boiler license is required.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to communicate with all staff.
• Experience in healthcare, skilled nursing, or assisted living settings preferred.
• Minnesota Engineer-Class C license is preferred.
• At least 21 years of age and completion of high school.

Responsibilities

• Facility Maintenance and Safety: oversee plumbing, electrical, HVAC, water/sewage, and fire alarm systems; ensure infection control and safety procedures.
• Preventive and Routine Maintenance: perform and coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance; manage outside areas and contractor visits.
• Staff Supervision and Development: supervise, train, evaluate maintenance staff; participate in hiring and promotions.
• Equipment and Supply Management: order, receive, store, and maintain inventory; coordinate repairs.
• Compliance and Policy Adherence: ensure compliance with regulations; participate in inspections and QA meetings; know MN health regs and residents' rights.
• Professionalism and Continuous Improvement: promote positive culture, quality improvement, and teamwork; support other departments.
