Job summary

Monarch Healthcare Management is looking for a Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Director in maintaining our Minnesota facilities. The role involves repairs, routine maintenance, and inspections to ensure reliable operation of all systems and equipment.

You will help with ordering supplies, document maintenance activities, and help maintain a safe, clean environment for residents and staff while following safety policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of general maintenance including boilers, HVAC, refrigerators/freezers, electrical systems.
• Must possess leadership ability and communicate with staff and directors.
• Two years of maintenance experience desirable.
• Experience in healthcare facilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Maintenance Operations: assist director in planning, organizing, and performing routine maintenance, repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Systems and Safety Compliance: maintain fire alarms, emergency electrical systems, HVAC and comply with safety regulations.
• Equipment and Supply Management: order, receive, store, and document maintenance equipment; manage inventory.
• Facility Cleanliness and Safety: keep areas clean and safe; identify hazards; coordinate preventive visits.
• Professional Conduct and Communication: maintain confidentiality and service orientation; support quality improvement.
• Training and Compliance: participate in inspections, audits, and trainings; stay updated on regulations.
