Job summary

The Villages of Lakewest in Dallas, TX is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to keep the facility's building, equipment, and utilities in good repair in line with policy and regulations.

This role requires high school diploma or GED and 2+ years of maintenance experience; knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry is a plus. We offer competitive pay and benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, paid time off, and holiday pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of maintenance experience.
• HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and mechanical knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to read safety rules and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine building maintenance tasks including painting, electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC system maintenance.
• Clean interior and exterior of the building and equipment.
• Complete administrative duties such as reporting maintenance statuses to supervisor.
• Comply with safety and health regulations.
• Work with and maintain relationships with contracted vendors.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls and troubleshoot issues.
