Job summary

Lexington Health is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to support hospital facilities, primarily electrical systems and safety-critical equipment. The role emphasizes hands-on repairs, compliance with code, and coordination with external vendors.

The position requires 3+ years in maintenance/construction, SC licensing eligibility, and the ability to read manuals and blueprints. Night shift hours apply with on-call responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• At least 3 years of maintenance/construction experience is required.
• Certification from SC Municipal Association or equivalent with reciprocity is required.
• Able to read technical service manuals and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Makes routine and emergency repairs on mechanical/electrical equipment.
• Works on 120/208 and 277/480VAC equipment and circuits.
• Troubleshoot and maintain energy plant electrical systems including transformers and substations.
• Monitor and troubleshoot emergency generators and switchgear.
• Troubleshoot and repair fire alarm systems and surgical lighting with vendor coordination.
• Ensure projects meet regulatory codes (DHEC, NFPA) and maintain documentation.
