Job summary

Lexington Health is seeking a skilled plumber/maintenance technician for the PM/N shift to support hospital facilities in Columbia, SC. The role focuses on plumbing construction, repairs, and maintenance across six centers and affiliated facilities.

Responsibilities include pipework, medical gas systems, and coordinating with vendors. Strong reading of blueprints and safety compliance are required; applies to on-call rotations with possible overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of Maintenance/Construction experience.
• Certification from the Municipal Association of South Carolina, or other approved plumbing license.
• Must read technical service manuals and blueprints.
• Valid driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain water, steam, vacuum, drainage systems and related lines.
• Install and service medical gas systems and pneumatic tube systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair hospital plumbing equipment and devices.
• Inspect connections for leaks and ensure regulatory code compliance.
• Lead small maintenance projects and coordinate with vendors.
• Support on-call rotations and respond to emergencies.
