Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is seeking an Executive Sous Chef to lead day-to-day culinary operations at a 1400-bed Level 1 Trauma Center in St. Louis.

The role covers hot and cold production for roughly 900 patient beds and a large Retail Cafe, supporting the Executive Chef to maintain safe, sanitary kitchen practices. You will help oversee corporate programs and guidelines, ensure cost-effective dish preparation, and lead a team of about 20 associates per shift to deliver

Qualifications

• B.S. or A.O.S. in culinary arts or related field
• Minimum of 4 years chef experience, preferably in acute care or high-volume setting
• Experienced with standardized corporate recipes, plating standards and Food Code
• Mastery of a wide variety of kitchen positions and stations
• Ability to think on their feet and create/serve on the fly
• Knowledge of food cost and related kitchen implications
• Proficient with computers; MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook

Responsabilités

• Ensures high-quality food items are prepared and presented cost-effectively
• Assists in planning, ordering, inventory, and food preparation
• Supports cost controls and expenditures for the account
• Rolls out new culinary programs with marketing and culinary teams
• Supervises around 20 associates per shift, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation
• Motivates, trains, and directs back-of-house staff to meet objectives
• Performs other duties as assigned
