Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group USA company, is seeking a Healthcare Sous Chef to lead the Culinary Department in an acute care hospital. You will supervise, prepare, and cook a range of menu items and help develop daily specials, while partnering with the Executive Chef on menu design and ordering.

This role offers relocation assistance and a path for energetic culinary professionals to drive quality, food safety, and cost control in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent experience.
• Progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
• High volume, complex foodservice operations experience.
• Institutional and batch cooking experiences.
• Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
• Must be experienced with computers; MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, Email and Internet.
• Willing to participate in client satisfaction programs/activities.
• ServSafe certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Executive Chef with cost controls and expenditures for the account.
• Assists the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus.
• Produces and executes catering events.
• Rolls out new culinary programs with Company marketing and culinary team.
