Job summary

IMEG Corp in Naperville, IL is seeking a Medical Equipment Planning Intern for Summer 2027. The role supports healthcare equipment planning for new construction and renovations, with a 10-12 week duration and in-office, full-time scheduling.

You will work with experienced planners, contribute to project delivery, client coordination, and equipment documentation, and gain exposure to healthcare design practices.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Bio‑Medical Engineering, or an equivalent program, required.
• Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review proposed floor plans for healthcare construction projects and develop a room legend in IMEG’s medical equipment database.
• Conduct research on technology assigned by a medical equipment planner.
• Locate cutsheets and specifications for assigned technology.
• Perform basic QA/QC tasks to ensure medical equipment lists are complete and accurate.
• Participate in client user meetings to support the medical equipment planner and take meeting minutes for publication.
• Assist with onsite inventory and assessments of existing medical equipment as needed.
• Review project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to milestone submission.
