Job summary

IMEG is seeking a Medical Equipment Graduate‑Planner 2 in Naperville, IL, with remote work flexibility in the U.S. You will support equipment analysis, design and implementation for healthcare projects, and collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to deliver integrated solutions.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, 2+ years in design or medical equipment consulting, and proficiency in BIM, Attainia, 4Tower or Bluebeam. Travel up to 30% may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Engineering, Bio‑Medical Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Plumbing Engineering, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain client relationships by gathering project requirements and communicating technical information effectively.
• Support project planning, budgeting, and scheduling to meet deadlines and objectives.
• Document design decisions, client instructions, and project progress.
• Analyze low to moderate complexity engineering tasks with senior staff to develop practical solutions.
• Participate in IMEG quality control processes to ensure compliance with standards.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in medical equipment.
• Contribute to research, development and innovation efforts within IMEG.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects and project managers on integrated solutions.
• Conduct equipment assessments, inventories, and document equipment for MEQ database.
• Lead MEQ user meetings to finalize equipment lists and cost estimates.
• Obtain written acceptance from owner for final submittals and create standard deliverables including MEQ books and memos.
• Develop procurement schedules, write MEQ specs for bid comparison, and support purchasing decisions.
