Job summary

Sanford Health in New Hope, MN is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a clean and safe environment across patient rooms and facility spaces. The role requires physical activity and adherence to infection control guidelines.

The position operates on day shift, with hours from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and includes advantages such as signficant night/weekend differentials, opportunities for advancement, and education support through the hospital system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred. Ability to use computer and prior cleaning experience is helpful.
• Knowledge of materials, equipment, cleaning methods and cleaning chemicals is helpful.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Previous custodial experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and sanitary environment in patient/resident rooms and common areas.
• Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, waxing floors, trash disposal.
• Operate cleaning equipment and follow infection control and safety guidelines.
• Assist in laundry areas as appropriate.
• Wear protective equipment and keep storage, equipment and carts clean.
