Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a clean and safe environment in patient and public areas. You will follow infection control, safety, and procedural guidelines while performing routine cleaning tasks.

This role requires standing for long periods and the ability to lift up to 40-50 lbs. The position offers an evening shift (1 PM - 9:30 PM) with a salary range of $17.88 to $23.67 per hour and union participation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to use computer and prior cleaning experience is helpful.
• Knowledge of materials, equipment, cleaning methods and cleaning chemicals is helpful.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Previous custodial experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Empty waste baskets.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Scrub and wax floors.
• Polish floors with appropriate equipment.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines.
• Assist in shared areas as needed.
