Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a safe and sanitary environment in patient and resident areas, following infection control and safety guidelines. You will perform duties such as waste disposal, sweeping, scrubbing, waxing floors, and operating cleaning equipment, while wearing PPE and keeping areas tidy.

The position offers 8:00 AM–4:30 PM shifts with every other weekend and holiday rotation, plus opportunities for advancement, education assistance, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and chemicals is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and sanitary environment in patient/resident rooms and assigned areas following infection control and safety guidelines.
• Empty waste baskets, sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors using appropriate tools and machines.
• Wear PPE as required and keep storage, equipment and carts clean and organized.
• Assist in laundry areas as appropriate and use available technology/applications when required.
• May work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays depending on location and patient/resident needs.
