Job summary

Osborn Engineering is seeking an Associate Director of Healthcare for our Great Lakes Facilities Division in Detroit. This role focuses on managing healthcare engineering projects, developing healthcare business, and partnering with the Director of Healthcare to pursue opportunities across the Great Lakes region.

Based in our Detroit office, you will lead teams, oversee design and delivery, ensure QA/QC, and drive client success while advancing the firm’s healthcare practice and qualifications

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in Healthcare engineering facilities design or management of healthcare facilities construction.
• Managed design/execution of construction projects valued at $5M+.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 99/101 and Facilities Guideline Institute (FGI), ASHRAE 170.
• Understanding of Joint Commission standards and CMS accreditation for healthcare owners.
• Leadership to guide a multi-discipline team and mentor staff.
• Keep abreast of new healthcare design technologies and codes.

Responsibilities

• Market Osborn Engineering capabilities to clients across the Great Lakes region.
• Provide technical direction on design work within their discipline.
• Interact with healthcare facility owners, project managers, architects and related professionals.
• Manage project contracts, Add Service Agreements, and proposals.
• Oversee design deliverables from SD to CD level and QA/QC conformance.
• Lead client communications, manage expectations, deadlines and project metrics.
• Support business development and participate in trade organizations and presentations.
