Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 6 months of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in healthcare or financial counseling.
• Willingness to travel within assigned market area.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and maintain accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and empathetically.
• Preferred: English and Spanish proficiency.
• Experience with multiple EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, Meditech) is a plus.
• Knowledge of state and federal assistance programs such as Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security Disability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced eligibility screening in-person and guide patients through program applications.
• Facilitate applications for Medicaid, Medicare, disability programs, and charity care with timely, accurate submissions.
• Act as liaison between patients, hospital staff, and government agencies to secure funding.
• Perform follow-up to ensure applications are complete and processed.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant records and confidentiality.
