Savista, LLC is seeking an Eligibility Specialist I to help uninsured and underinsured patients access financial assistance for medical care. You will assess eligibility and guide applications for Medicaid, Medicare, disability, and charity care while coordinating with hospital staff to ensure timely submissions and compliance.

The role is full-time, onsite at Four Peaks Medical Center in Mesa, AZ, with shifts from 8:00am to 7:00pm and occasional coverage at nearby locations.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED requirement.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
• Experience in customer-facing roles, preferably in healthcare or financial counseling.
• Ability to travel within assigned market area for coverage.

Aufgaben

• Meet with patients in-person, including bedside visits, to assess eligibility for financial assistance.
• Guide patients through applications for Medicaid, Medicare, Disability, and charity care, ensuring timely submission of documentation.
• Liaise between patients, hospital staff, and government agencies to establish eligibility and secure funding.
• Manage multiple patient cases with prioritization to meet deadlines and follow up on applications.
• Clearly communicate financial obligations, funding options, and program details empathetically.
• Maintain confidential records in compliance with HIPAA and policies.
• Achieve productivity and quality metrics toward financial counseling objectives.
• Use multiple systems to gather, track, and report patient data.
• Assist with vacancy coverage and complete special projects as assigned.
