Job summary

Community Health Centers of the Central Coast is seeking a Corporate Trainer to develop and run comprehensive training programs that boost workforce efficiency and compliance.

Under supervision of the HR Director, you will design materials, deliver sessions, and coordinate trainings across clinical and administrative teams, maintaining HIPAA compliance and patient-centered service standards at all times.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Healthcare preferred.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience in a Community Health Center.
• Two years of experience in a Practice Management/Electronic Health Record System preferably in Athena and NextGen.

Responsibilities

• Develops, plans, organizes, and effectively conducts employee training on various systems, skills, policies, and compliance areas.
• Knowledge expert in front and back office workflows, including provider workflows.
• Researches and identifies areas in which training is required and/or beneficial by position with a multi-disciplinary team who are the stakeholders.
• Evaluates and modifies existing or proposed programs for effectiveness; suggests and implements suitable changes. Conducts training need analysis as needed.
• Designs, drafts, and/or acquires new training materials including procedure workflow cheat sheets, reference guides, competencies, training agendas, PowerPoint presentations, and other handouts.
• Collaborates with outside consultants, managers, and subject matter experts to deliver training.
• Facilitates delivery of training by reserving and setting up needed equipment and training rooms; scheduling training times with attendees; preparing and distributing training materials such as handouts; food orders and pickup for trainings; and other related tasks.
• Maintains current knowledge of new hire training techniques and developments. Maintains up to date knowledge of Athena and Next Gen systems to ensure they are content experts.
• Maintains good working relationships and open communication with Regional Operations Managers and Health Center Managers.
• Provides feedback on all trainees.
• Schedules and maintains all training activities on the CHC Training Calendar.
• Trains clinical staff and providers in all aspects of the NextGen and Athena systems.
• Assists with preparations for go-lives and system updates.
• Assist with updating and maintaining competency documents as needed in collaboration with HR and department managers.
• Responsible for conducting and coordinating New Hire Training.
• Provide support for new providers, locums, and new staff at the clinic site.
• Provides on-site training and support based on need and upon request from management.
• Demonstrates professionalism when calling patients and provides quality customer service using AIDET Standards.
