Job summary

OU Health in Oklahoma City is seeking a Document Imaging Technician 1–3 for a full-time, on-site role. You will prepare, scan, index, and quality-check medical and administrative documents to ensure accurate entry into imaging systems, while protecting patient confidentiality.

You will interact with clinical and administrative teams to clarify documentation needs, troubleshoot basic imaging issues, and escalate complex problems as needed. Familiarity with EHRs and HIPAA is required.

Qualifications

• Accurate document imaging tasks including scanning, indexing, and quality control of medical records.
• Troubleshooting imaging equipment and software to resolve routine issues.
• Familiarity with medical imaging workflows and basic radiology terminology.
• Strong customer service with clear, professional communication with clinical/administrative staff.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle repetitive tasks accurately.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems; healthcare records experience beneficial.
• Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations; ethical/compliant practices.
• High school diploma or equivalent; health information management training/certification is a plus.
